Excellently crafted cedar slat Brook Trout Creel by Emile Robichaud (1902-1993) of Medway, ME. More unique than the majority of his creels, this creel is a little smaller. Deeply carved out Brook Trout with vibrant paint and carved fin and tail details. Multiply dry flies adorn the front and top of the creel. As usual the pine cones are indented and painted. 'Maine' is written across the lid. Fish body leather straps hinge the lid to the body. Carved out drainage ports on the bottom sides. More pictures available upon request.
Signed on bottom ridge by maker in red ink, 'Emile Robichaud, Medway, ME'
Condtion: Original, light wear on lower front side.
