Working Brant Decoy

Working brant decoy from the collection of Thousand Island decoy author and historian Larry Lunman.  Surviving in lightly used condition with no restorations or tail chips.  Weight was removed leaving behind small nail holes.  A rigmate in similar condition is pictured in the section on Roy Conklin in Decoys of the Thousand Islands, though that example has a tail chip.

 

Alert with head slightly turned to the right.  Deep carved bill and eye socket lines.

 

Condition: Entirely original with light gunning wear.
